Presented by Bobsaviationart.com. The poster is 11" x 17" and printed on heavy and glossy paper. Ideal size for hanging in smaller spaces but it tells a very BIG story.
This poster is a summation of the feeling of our men and women during the Vietnam conflict. Deep feelings about the war existed in the United States. It was felt that Jane Fonda did not support our troops. Colonel Shanahan provided great insight into the heart of our troops with his presentation.
This poster is available for $20 + $5 shipping fee.
Text on the Poster:
The Jane Fonda Sentiment
On Easter Sunday, 1972, North Vietnam invaded South Vietnam. In I Corps, the goal was to capture Hue. The 9th Marine Amphibious Brigade was sent to stop the NVN. I was the G-3 of the 9thMAB. By loading the SVN Marines aboard the MAB helos, the NVN were stopped. We then started rolling back the NVN. Part of defeating them required us to take back an ancient fort in Quang Tri. Our general (Bgen. E. J. Miller) arranged for us to go the only tall building left in Quang Tri to the watch the taking of the fort. When we were departing I noticed the Jane Fonda Sucks comment on the wall. I photographed it.
Aside from Jane Fonda, Ive never heard any person critique it.
Colonel James L. Shanahan, Retired USMC
